We'll Melt Away Before We Land, 2020

Live Broadcast Performance : Copenhagen/ New York City ; TRT 25min

This live broadcast performance is based on temporary contact between worlds: the simulated, fantastical, and the physical. Transmission between distinct geographic positions, real-time and time delay, and the simulated and projected place enable a world that cannot exist outside of itself. Orbiting debris over distinct coordinates inform sound. Space becomes activated only as and when it is mutually transmitted back and forth, and as interference. Bodies move through vehicles of transmission and guide each other in this aethereal space.

Directed and composed by Victoria Keddie

Performing body: Mariangela Lopez

NYC Video Production Team: Scott Kiernan, Collin Crowe

The performance took place between two host locations: Fridman Gallery, 169 Bowery, New York, NY 10002, USA and H.C. Ørsteds Vej 61, Copenhagen, DK

Movement score in two parts: Gravity (Ascending Node) and Weightlessness (Vertigo).
