These video based works explore the relationship of the physical body within the frame of a monitor and fixed camera lens. A 13” CRT monitor became the parameters to move within. The camera, (in this case an Ikegami ITC-730A tube camera), remained in a locked position with fixed lens. My movement was controlled by the limitations of space- to remain in focus, and to stay within the visual plane/ monitor. There was no studio lighting, only daylight, and no other staged elements are present. The manipulation to color is from RGB tube separation inside the camera.
The result is a series of motions that capture the confinement of allotted space within the frame. Another space however, emerges through the separation of color, light, and form through tube interference and repeated pattern of motion.
