Echo Drawings, 2019

Echo Drawings are a series that captures the impressions of sound resonance, using magnetic film, speakers, and analog synthesizers. These works are a visual recording of sound where vibration and magnetic head reader act as drawing mechanism on the film surface. The work is a physical artifact of ephemeral actions. Sound frequency and beat variations shift electromagnetism. The frames are constructed using magnetic paint and coated with iron. Here, we may witness the ghost renderings of past actions, becoming in itself, a resonant body.

Materials: magnetic film, magnets, iron powder (Fe), headphone speakers, modular synthesizer.
